These days, if a tunnel is being built, there’s a good chance Stiver Engineering worked on it.
Six projects involving Stiver Engineering were featured in the latest Tunnel Business Magazine list of major tunnel projects underway in the United States and Canada.
The highlight is the Integrated Pipeline Project in Tarrant County, Texas. Stiver performed full design work for the IPL tunnel, a water supply project that involves building 150 miles of pipeline to transport up to 350 million gallons water daily from three East Texas Reservoirs into the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Stiver is also the tunnel designer for the Bois D’Arc Treated Water Pipeline Segment E Tunnel in McKinney, Texas, which involves construction of 2,534 linear feet of 118-inch excavated diameter tunneling. Other Stiver projects mentioned in the article include the Joes Creek Interceptor and the Mill Creek/Peaks Branch/State Thomas Drainage Relief Tunnel in Dallas, the Northeast Transmission Line in Houston, and the Schoharie Reservoir Low Level Outlet in Gilboa, New York.
