One of our clients came to us with a need for an underwater testing facility with lighting.
Stiver Engineering provided structural design to the client, located in Houston, Texas, with a caisson design that would fulfill their needs effectively. We designed the reinforced concrete structure to be poured in lifts and sunk into the earth until the cutting edge of the caisson reached the design elevation. The caisson was poured with the electrical conduit in place to accommodate the underwater lighting system, and it was installed adjacent to existing structures. Stiver Engineering provided structural plans to the client for construction.
