Description: The Project will increase the permitted capacity of the plant from 10.7 million gallons per day (mgd) to 15.3 mgd. The current plan is to start design shortly after selection and award of this contract. The improvements for the 4.6 mgd expansion include but are not limited to: • Well Improvement o Above ground mechanical and electrical improvements at Floridan Well # 8 – the well is planned to be drilled and available prior to this project being bid • Pre-treatment Improvements o Additional cartridge filter vessel and associated piping • Two additional Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane treatment trains E and F rated at 2.3 mgd each o Layout and design to match existing skids o Piping, electrical, mechanical as required o Minor modifications to the existing membrane clean in place system • Improvements to the degasifers and odor control system to account for the additional 4.6 mgd of flow o Degasifier # 3 o Piping modifications o Scrubber # 3 and # 4 o Blower # 4 o Recirculation Pumps o Ductwork • Transfer Pumps o Additional transfer pump and piping • Clearwell Improvements o Modifications for additional flow as required • Chemical System Improvements o Additional storage and feed pumps for sulfuric acid, caustic, and CO2 • Concentrate Disposal o Second RO concentrate pipe and rpz assembly • Ground Storage Tank Addition o Final size to be determined – preliminary concept is 3 million gallons • High Service Pumps o Two additional high service pumps and associated piping • Building Expansion o 5,000 sf +/- expansion of existing building to contain the RO treatment trains
